If you need help setting up your UW Google/Gmail account:
1. What is your UW Google account?
- Right now, you're probably receiving UW related emails on your personal account that ends with @gmail.com.
- You should set up your UW Google Account so that you can log into a gmail account that ends with @uw.edu. Your professors and TAs (teaching assistants) often only reply to emails that end with @uw.edu and not personal gmail accounts, so it's important that you do so!
- We've taken the information from the UW IT page on how to activate your UW Google account and broken it down for you:
- Go to this link: Manage UW Google which will activate your account and ask you to create a password for it.
- Now your UW Google Account is set up! You can log into Google calendar, Google Drive/Docs, Gmail, etc. with this account.
- NOTE: The beginning of your UW google account (the part that comes before the @uw.edu) is your UW NetID.
